Expectations
What do I get for the cost of a surf lesson?
You’ll get a 2-hour lesson, plus use of a surf board, wetsuit, booties, and gloves (if needed). The cost of your surf lesson does not include transportation to the coast.
What will I learn?
You’ll leave your surf lesson with an understanding of ocean safety and awareness, proper paddling technique, and the correct way to get up to your feet and surfing.
What kind of shape do I need to be in?
Our surf lessons take place in small breaks in shallow water. Being comfortable in the ocean and in reasonably good shape is helpful — but people of all sizes, shapes and swimming abilities can learn to surf.
Basics
How much does it cost?
Our surf lessons cost $150 per person. Participants can pay in full at registration — or put down a $75 deposit (with the remainder due two weeks before your lesson).
What are the age requirements to attend?
Our surf lessons are open to anyone age 12 or older.
Can I bring my kids?
Kids who are 12 and older are welcome to register for our lessons. Kids that are too young to attend, are welcome to accompany you to the coast as long as you have someone to watch them during your lessons and they are not disruptive to others’ surf lesson experience. Arranging for childcare is your sole responsibility.
Do you provide wetsuits and surf boards?
We provide surf boards, full wetsuits, booties and gloves for all participants during your lesson. To ensure that everything fits, it’s best to come into the shop prior to your lesson and be properly fitted.
What should I bring?
Towels, bathing suits, sunscreen and snacks.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and electronic funds transfer via PayPal. If you to prefer to pay with a check or cash, please call us at 206.387.9054.
What is your payment policy?
Surf lesson participants can pay the full $150 at registration or pay a $75 deposit (with the remainder due two weeks prior to the start of camp).
What is your cancellation policy?
As long as you cancel at least one week prior to your surf lesson, we will provide a full refund.
